Instructional Support for Members of National Team of IChO
The Foundation holds a special training camp at Kyoto University for high school students selected as the members of the national team of the International Chemistry Olympiad (IChO).
At the IChO, high school students from over 70 countries and regions compete with one another on their competence in chemistry. After taking theoretical and experimental examinations on chemistry, the students are awarded the gold medal, the silver medal, and the bronze medal according to their total examination scores.
The Foundation, under the joint sponsorship with the Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ), provides intensified training for students selected as the national team members on themes that may be difficult to learn at their high schools. Such training will prepare the students for the competition.
